A public meeting concerning the work of one of the most important living. choreographers
The difference between dance and choreography, formalism and public perception, the idea of counterpoint in the structure of the pieces, the devising of ‘choreographic objects’, the relationship between thinking and creativity: these are some of the themes Dialogue on Forsythe – a public meeting – deals with. The meeting will be hosted by Fondazione A. Pini, a striking location placed in the inner city of Milan.Led by dance critics Francesca Pedroni and Marinella Guatterini, the meeting will investigates the work of one of the most important living choreographers: William Forsythe. The artist has been invited in the spring of 2012 in Italy with his Forsythe Company, ten years after the previous Italian tour, thanks to Uovo and Brescia’s Teatro Grande, to create a series of performances between Milan, Brescia and Venice.
